Bilingual HR Liaison - Chattanooga, TN / Plant 1
Role Summary
Provide floor support to all employees, primarily Spanish speaking employees. Partner with leadership to implement program(s) to improve retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Interact with employee on the floor on a daily basis
- Solicit feedback from employees, especially new hires about their experience with Gestamp
- Identify trends and partner with leadership to develop action plans and programs to address
- Performs a variety of administrative duties for the HR dept.
- Making appointments, working with confidential information, securing and furnishing information as required including new hire process – background/physicals.
- Formulate and prepare presentations and report for HR members.
- Maintain time system to track hourly associates’ hours & attendance as well as assist payroll processing.
- SAP back up for HRIS and Payroll.
- Administers pre-employment assessments (Work-keys, Ramsey, etc.)
- Assembles new hire paperwork.
- Assists in maintaining filing system in HR.
- Place order for HR printing needs (calendars, business cards, benefits, absence forms etc.).
- Employee communications as needed.
- Performs additional related duties as requested.
Knowledge and Education
- 1-3 years professional experience as an administrative assistant.
- 2-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
Key Qualification/Requirements
- Must interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.
- Strong communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proficient in typing.
- Organizing, planning and multi-tasking skills.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) required.
