Controls Engineer - California

Role Summary

The i4.0 Controls Engineer will support and conduct the assignments and responsibilities given to them by the Engineering Manager or his/her designees and you shall devote your full time, skill and attention to the business of the Company.

Key Responsibilities

1)    Support the expansion of automation and technology solutions to drive our competitive edge in operations across multiple plants.
2)    Research, develop, and implement new innovative applications and solutions to add business value.
3)    Deploy and maintain a growing list of technologies and controls such as IIOT devices, vision systems, sensors, PLCs, and digital applications.
4)    Study, test, recommend, and lead the implementation of I4.0 initiatives and tools to support operations, including equipment, process monitoring, data analytics, and dashboard reporting systems.
5)    Drives innovation by developing platforms to collect, normalize, analyze, and act on real-time data.
6)    Develop and maintain data analytics, I4.0 initiatives, vision systems, robotics, and production systems.
7)    Optimize and maintain network infrastructure, database, cloud and data center operations, and security protocols.
8)    Develop and maintain scalable, cross platform SCADA applications using Ignition, IGear SQUEAKS, IGear Connect, IIoT.
9)    Develop PLC programs to support data collection from machines and assembly lines.
10)    Develop standardized and scalable HMI solutions using Ignition, FactoryTalk, Indusoft.
11)    Standardize data and Hierarchies for rollup reporting.
12)    Centralize real time data in one platform for easy interaction and visualization.

Knowledge and Education

•    BS: Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or other technical discipline plus 3 years of automated manufacturing technical experience required.
•    ABB/Fanuc 
•    Siemens
•    OMRON
•    Arduino PLC

Work Experience

•    7+ years experience and training in a similar role
