JOB SUMMARY
Direct Engineers through regular work assignments, status reviews, and evaluations.
Responsible for meeting assembly equipment objectives, including sound design, functionality, adherence to applicable specifications, project timing, customer quality objectives, and financial targets.
Interfaces with the customer, project team, and supplier to document and resolve project issues
including feasibility, cost, and timing.
Actively participates and contributes to the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) effort.
Monitor activities and projects at the plant level to provide directions and support.
Lead initial equipment processing and quoting activities as well as technical sales presentations to
prospective customers
Support new business quoting opportunities as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge
1. Understanding of resistance and mig welding, hot stamping, and cold stamping equipment and practices.
2. Understanding of statistical applications to manufacturing processes
3. Understanding of GD&T, part processing, stamped component assembly processes, and checking fixtures
4. Working knowledge of automated assembly systems including; mechanical design, standard build
practices, controls systems, debugging, and tryouts.
5. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, oral and written.
6. Understanding of quoting and financial aspects of automated production equipment.
7. A dedication to teamwork and management by consensus and proactive in finding win-win solutions.
8. Leadership and organizational skills
9. Computer literacy to include Windows applications, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
10. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
