Long Description

 

Key Responsibilities – Regional Procurement Strategy

• Develop and implement regional sourcing strategies for construction, CAPEX and OPEX.

• Consolidate demand across plants and projects to drive leverage and cost efficiency.

• Define category strategies covering construction, infrastructure, utilities, CAPEX equipment and OPEX services.

General Skills/Requirements: - Construction & CAPEX Project Procurement

• Strong understanding and experience with high value construction and capital equipment sourcing. Lead procurement for greenfield and brownfield projects.

• Manage RFQs/RFPs, evaluations, negotiations, contract awards, SLA, AMC’s inline with support of GSO and Corporate guidelines.

• Support CAPEX investment decisions with benchmarking and TCO analysis.

  • Expert in strategic sourcing, negotiations, contract management, and TCO optimization.

• Analytical, data‑driven, and experienced in interpreting cost structures and market trends.

• Strong stakeholder management across plants and Asia Division functions.

• Autonomous, organized, and capable of managing multiple complex projects.

• Proficient in MS Office and ERP/MRP tools; experience with corporate purchasing systems is a plus

• Knowlesge and prior experience with Import and Customs 

 

Supplier Performance & Contract Management

• Develop and manage regional supplier, EPC and contractor ecosystems.

• Negotiate EPC, construction and long-term service agreements.

• Monitor supplier performance including cost, quality, delivery and HSE.

• Build, qualify, and maintain a preferred local supplier panel for welding and assembly equipment, tooling, consumables,
and services.

• Negotiate frame agreements, pricing, terms, and service levels with suppliers, ensuring competitiveness across the full
lifecycle (TCO), including import duties and taxes.

• Monitor supplier performance (cost, quality, delivery, innovation) using KPIs and drive corrective and development
actions as required.

• Support supplier audits, technical reviews, and capacity checks with engineering and quality teams.

Cost Optimisation & Risk Management

• Deliver cost reduction and avoidance targets across CAPEX and OPEX.

• Drive localisation and supplier development initiatives.

• Identify market, commercial and contractual risks and mitigation actions.

• Deliver annual cost‑reduction, avoidance, and productivity targets for welding and assembly commodity.

• Track cost drivers (materials, labor, energy, logistics, duties) and recommend mitigation actions such as dual sourcing and
optimized investment timin

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Construction Management or Business.

• 10–20+ years’ experience in procurement with strong construction and CAPEX exposure.

• Strong negotiation, stakeholder management and governance skills.

• Regional Role will require a willingness to travel

 

Languages

• Fluent English and Hindi are essential

• Marathi, Tamil, Gujarati beneficial
