Direct Material Purchasing Engineer
Role Summary
- Responsible of managing direct material suppliers within scope, focusing on improving cost competitiveness and ensuring on time delivery, as well as support Gestamp advance purchasing to promote cost improvements and solutions to sustain the growth potential based on cost improvement and supplier development.
Key Responsibilities
- Search and identify new qualified components suppliers for global and Asia projects
- Manage and complete components sourcing projects timely according to projects schedule.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Monitors supply markets and trends.
- Lead negotiations of basic supplier agreements.
- Audit and manage suppliers’ performance.
- Cost reduction according to company strategy.
- Cost and quotation analysis for Asia bidding projects.
- Proactive pursuit of Advanced Supplier Technology;
Key Qualifications/Requirements
- Recognized process expert with ability to convey/train knowledge to others.
- Industry knowledge preferred Demonstrated analytical skills.
- Knowledge of purchasing processes, negotiating competence as well as high quality and project management awareness.
- Good communication skills especially in the international/intercultural context.
- Good knowledge of contract law.
- Good English spoken and written.
- Good knowledge of MS-Office applications.
- Individual contributor.
Knowledge and Education
- Bachelor's degree or above in Management of Supply Chain, logistic, Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical field.
Work Experience
- More than 2-3 years purchasing experience,
