Welding Assembly Purchasing Engineer

Long Description

Role Summary

  • Focus on local and oversea welding & assembly project purchasing activities, incl. collecting the relevant resource from market to match project requests, organize TR and price negotiation from BP stage to supplier nomination in launch, until the whole life of purchasing items completely closed.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for collecting request from projects, to create purchasing plan per the lead time, same apply to welding assembly projects.
  • Responsible for supplier panel management and development.
  • Responsible for whole purchasing lifetime activities, such as commercial negotiation, contract management, payment management etc.
  • Responsible for tracking of delivery time, goods receipt, invoice, payment.
  • Responsible for consumables and spare parts purchasing of machine purchased before SOP/final acceptance, and necessary support to plants after SOP/final acceptance.
  • Coordination between plants and suppliers, to close the open items, keep project timing, and regular lessons learn for improvement.
  • Manage suppliers’ performance to avoid risk on delivery and quality.
  • Schedule transfer and re-use activities among plants per the capacity.
  • Assist on the CAPEX plan and cash plan improvement.
  • Responsible for coordinating local suppliers for Oversea projects.

 

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Able to create purchasing plan, familiar with oversea business operations.
  • Good communication skills in Chinese and English, both in writing and in oral.
  • Skillful work with Microsoft Office software.
  • Careful work with good execution and well-managed on documentation .
  • High Time management and Prioritization skills.
  • Focused and result oriented.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good teamwork and pressure management.
  • Accept the flexible work time, to meet the oversea project requirement.
  • Engineer background is a plus.
  • Sense of responsibility and time management ability.

 

Work Experience

  • At least 5-8 years’ experience in automobile industry, prefer on machine/welding line purchasing and familiar with automobile business and resource.
