Plant Director

Role Summary
 
Gestamp is looking to hire a strong leader with demonstrated good results and expertise from operational management of manufacturing organizations, preferably within the automotive industry. You will be responsible for the daily management and operation of Gestamp Tallent Limited, our plant in Llanelli (UK). By facilitating continuous improvement and operational excellence, we expect you to increase plant efficiency and manufactural routines in accordance with the companies KPIs, policies and current legal regulations being responsible for the P&L.

 

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Being Plant Manager your will hold a key position with responsibility, authority and ability to make an impact on the company´s future.
  • Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed customers’ expectations
  • Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs.
  • Responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping.
  • Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to product optimal results
  • Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus

  • Commit to plant safety, quality and environmental procedures

 
Key Qualifications/Requirements
 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. 
  • To be used to navigating within an international environment and have a fundamental understanding of international Business culture.
  • Broad experience with operational tools that drives plant performance

 

Knowledge and Education

  • Education at university level is preferred, preferably with emphasis on operations/manufacturing, Business, quality and/or engineering

 

Work Experience

  • +7 years of relevant work experience in a similar position
