Long Description

Directly reporting to the Plant Manager and as a member of the Management Committee, the Production Manager defines, coordinates and constantly adapts the resources and activities of an autonomous production unit to optimise manufacturing in terms of safety, quality, cost, delivery times and HR management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define, implement and adapt the organisation and establish operating rules and protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturing standards in terms of cost, quality and lead times, safety requirements for goods and people, and environmental requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with production and maintenance standards and procedures.
  • Ensure the management and analysis of faults and supervise the implementation of corrective measures.
  • Define collective and individual objectives and help their teams to achieve them. 
  • Implement HR development decisions and ensure the development of employees' skills.
  • Monitor HR indicators and take corrective action where necessary.
  • Directly manage production managers and/or production supervisors, set their targets and support them in achieving them.
  • Validate and analyse production performance indicators. Define progress plans with management and lead projects to optimise the department and its activities.
  • Work on the production budget, define priorities and determine the allocation of resources so that supervisors and teams can achieve the objectives.

 

Key Qualifications / Requirements

  • Knowledge of production organisation.
  • Knowledge of assembly and stamping processes.
  • Previous experience in people management and teamwork.
  • Knowledge of procedures and regulations: Safety, Quality and Environment.
  • Knowledge of SAP.

 

Knowledge and Education

  • Degree or Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering or similar.
  • Advanced English and French (C1 or similar).

 

Work Experience

  • + 5 years of previous experience in similar positions, preferably in the automotive sector.
