PLC CONTROL ENGINEER

Role Summary
Maintain, optimize the operation of control equipment to improve the operation of plant equipment; considering all aspects of operation, safety and programming involved. Support the productive and quality areas in current problems, as well as develop new projects and process integrations and, where appropriate, also engineering integrations, as well as analysis and problem solving.

Key Responsibilities
• Maintains and optimizes the operation of control equipment.
• Generates the controls to keep backups of PLC, screens, cameras, projection machines and updated electrical diagrams.
• Participate in engineering changes and implementation of improvements that optimize the operation of production lines.
• Optimizes equipment cycle times to maximize efficiency.
• Participation in root cause analysis, implementing actions that effectively solve problems.
• Ensures the refurbishment of control equipment (PLC, Vision Cameras, HMI, I/O Modules, Light Barriers, Repeaters, Sources, etc.)
• Keep SCA teams updated and supported.
• Optimizes automatic inspection processes and equipment testing.
• Observation, monitoring and compliance with the standards, policies, procedures and/or work instructions established to guarantee the safety of the operation.

• PLC's programming. (Siemens, S-7, Allen Bradley Studio 5000, RsLogix 500)
• Factory TalkView
•Protool
• WinCC
• Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Robotics
• Interpretation of drawings.
• Electrical diagrams
• DIN standard
• PROFIBUS Basic PLC programming Siemens S-7, Allen Bradley, Protocol, Win CC.
• Pneumatic, Hydraulic.
• Robotics.
• Knowledge of robotic software (rob guide, work visual, robot studio).
• Knowledge of Lincoln welding machines.
• Interpretation of drawings and electrical diagrams DIN Standard, Profibus.
• Robot programming (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, Lincoln)
• English B1

Knowledge and Education
•    Electronic engineer, automation or related

Work Experience
•    3 years in a similar position
•    3 years in the automotive industry (desirable)
