WLDING ENGINEER

Role Summary
• Responsible for establishing, standardizing and controlling welding parameters for both MIG, MAG Projection Welding and SPOT, planning, organizing and managing welding equipment, instilling Gestamp values and following the defined procedures to meet the objectives of the Engineering department.
 

Key Responsibilities
• Maintenance and improvement of welding lines
• Adjustments and modifications in MIG, MAG and Electric Resistance Welding Cells, projection and SPOT.
• Design and standardization of the welding process.
• Maintenance of the quality and integrity of the welding process
• Supervision and evaluation in the integration of welding cells.
• Training of personnel under your charge (welding technicians).
• Ensure welding standards 
• Support with welding requirements and standards for the training technician so that he can certify personnel.
• Certification of welding parameters
• Optimization of welding lines and setting of welding parameters.
• Participation in the ramp up of assembly lines with MIG, MAG PROJECTION AND SPOT welding.
• Implementation and application of new welding techniques for new projects.
 

Work Experience
• Experience in automotive industry preferably
 

Additional information
• Interpretation of electrical and electronic drawings.
• Pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
• PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Micrologix 500
• Robot programming (Fanuc, Motoman, ABB) Desirable
• Mig, Mag, Electric Arc, projection and SPOT welding processes.
• Quality Tools.
• Advanced Intermediate English.
• Knowledge of CQI15.
