Production Cordinator
PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
Role Summary
Ensure compliance with the production program in the plant, complying with established work methods and process controls and coordinating the support functions for the fulfillment of plant objectives in safety, productivity, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop the staff under their charge so that they can perform the assigned tasks in accordance with the provisions of the technical skills of the position and specific needs of the area. • Manage the production staff so that no Production Team Leader is left unprotected to meet the production schedule.
• Support production team leaders in solving major problems, raising those that cannot be controlled with the current resources assigned.
• Monitor during the shift the progress against the program and the actions to solve identified problems.
• Coordinate with the supervisors of Safety, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Human Resources and Materials the necessary actions for the correction and improvement of production problems.
• Administration of personnel in charge of the different production shifts (Assistance, incidents, overtime, transportation service and dining room).
• Supervise security practices, process controls, non-compliant product, order, and cleanliness on the production floor.
• Validate process, material handling or HTE changes, ensuring safety, ergonomics or productivity are not impacted by the modification.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
• Statistical process control tools.
• Balancing of workloads in production lines.
• Staff Administration.
• Continuous process flow design.
• Quick change of tools.
• Total productive maintenance.
• PDCA continuous improvement cycle.
Knowledge and Education
• Industrial Engineer or related, specialization in Productivity or Quality (Desirable).
Work Experience • 2 years in a similar position
• 2 years in the automotive industry (desirable)
