Cost Estimator

Role Summary

  • Receive RFQ request and prepare the Internal Business Plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with related department (i.e. Process, Purchasing, Project, Plant, etc.) to establish the correct process, BOP, Tooling, etc.
  • Ensure optimal process to achieve cost objectives.
  • Analyze Business case to verify that the Cost Structure is the optimal.
  • Develop timeline and responsibilities for new quotes (Local / Global) to ensure customer deadlines.
  • Responsible for ECR related cost estimation.
  • Facilitate the communication with our GESTAMP division in each region for cost estimation globally.
  • Work with sales managers to understand China OEM/competitor
  • Work with global sales to understand overseas OEM/competitor
  • Benchmarking and analysis quotes through previous projects and market investigation.
  • Checking that the declared rates for Material, Labour and Overheads, are coherent with the Cost Structures.
  • Provide Monthly report such as Raw Material, components, others as well data reporting, historical trends, forecasting etc.
  • Prepare Handover Information for Awarded Business.  
  • Prepare Handover Business Case for SOP projects.
  • Complete TC/PLCM/GMS tasks on time.
  • Perform other duties as required.

 

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Engineering Degree required.
  • 3 years or above Costing work experience required.
  • Proficient English communication skills.
  • AUTO or related Metal forming or Chassis components will be preferred.
  • Have a strong ability to withstand pressure and solve problems.

 

Knowledge and Education

  • Good at Excel/Access/PPT.
  • VBA will be preferred.
  • Core Tools (TC/GMS).

Work Experience

  •  3 years or above Costing work experience required.
