Key responsibilities

  • Management of Research projects to meet timing and budget

  • Leadership of cross-functional teams across Gestamp globally with strong communication

  • Implementation of the Research strategy by executing the action plans necessary for its achievement

  • Carry out technological surveillance, development of new materials ( steel & lightweight materials) processes and technologies in order to improve existing products/processes

  • Utilize customer, internal and networking feedback to drive new project ideas and encourage collaboration and exploration

  • Identify customers' needs and business opportunities for product / process and materials, knowing the sectorial and market trends, to attract new projects and customers according to the defined strategic lines

  • Build relationships with and across teams

 

Key Qualifications/ Requirements

  • Communicate clearly across all levels of the business

  • Ability to motivate and inspire others

  • Ability to remain calm and focused when dealing with stressful situations

  • Natural curiosity for new technologies

  • Independent way of working

  • Willingness to travel when required

 

Knowledge and Education

  • At least a Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business Administration and Engineer or a comparable qualification

  • Good knowledge of spoken and written German and English, Spanish would be a benefit

 

Work Experience

  • Initial experience in project management, preferably in the field of research
