Role Summary

General maintenance and breakdown support of the Hot Stamp, Cold Stamp, Laser and Patch Cell

processes to ensure maximum process availability, including preventative maintenance and

improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Repairs, modifications and routine maintenance of Hot Stamp, Cold Stamp, Laser and Patch Cell processes
  • Carry out fault finding activities and undertake timely repair of equipment in the following areas; Robotics, PLC’s, Electrical Control Systems, Hydraulics and Pneumatics, mechanical systems.
  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance activities on automated production facilities.
  • Adherence to departmental systems (Pm, recording downtime) (Pirana), Captor, 5s standards.
  • Communicate with Shift Supervisors to determine priority / urgency of a required repair
  • Health and Safety Awareness for all activities undertaken.
  • Determine whether spares are required
  • Feedback to Shift Supervisors
  • Carry out any other duties, including overtime, relevant to the post which may arise.

Key Qualifications

  • Prior knowledge and experience of hot stamping processes (desirable)
  • Prior knowledge and experience in hydraulic pressing. (desirable)
  • Robotic maintenance & programming experience. (desirable)
  • Knowledge of furnaces (desirable)

Knowledge and Education

  • Mechanical Engineering Maintenance or similar
  • Relevant Electrical Installations Qualification
  • 18th Edition Regulations (Desirable)
  • HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. (Desirable)

Additional Information

Must be able to work onsite at our Wolverhampton Facility.
