EHS MANAGER
Role Summary
Responsible for setting the management of Environmental, Health & Safety in the plant to ensure compliance to MiOSHA/OSHA, EPA, and Gestamp corporate standards. Manage the implementation and sustainability of GHSS (Gestamp Health and Safety System) and the GEPR (Gestamp Environmental Performance Rate). Serves as HSE expert for the plant and provides direction to plant leadership
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the corporate and plant safety and environmental programs in safety at work, industrial hygiene and ergonomics.
- Assess the management team, establish safety procedures for critical processes (LOTO, overload cranes, fork trucks) and all other manufacturing process including in our GHSS (Gestamp Health and Safety System).
- Responsible to coordinate the employee safety training, safety teams, and counseling.
- Assess and write/keep up-to-date manuals, procedures and policies for safety functions for all locations.
- Work with manufacturing on engineering and plant layout changes.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
- Knowledge of MiOSHA/OSHA, ANSI, EEO, and ADA law and regulations.
- Responds quickly and efficiently to emergency situations.
Knowledge and Education
- Degree in related field or training in HSE/MiOSHA/OSHA.
- Experience working in a manufacturing facility.
- Five to ten year’s safety experience.
- Knowledge of MiOSHA/OSHA, EEO, and ADA law and regulation.
- Coordinate and track progress of government regulations compliance.
