IT Systems Engineer (m/f/d)

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain internal IT infrastructure, including laptop and desktop
    computers, servers, printers, phones, Networking (LAN, WAN and WIFI) and
    structural cabling support

  • Help desk and end user support, assisting other teams with troubleshooting
    to identify root cause and provide technical support when needed

  • Install, support and maintain engineering softwares(CAD/CAE), virtualization,
    backup and storage suites, Active Directory and windows administration

  • Support to corporate deployed management suites (purchasing, finance,
    HR…)

  • Support to compliance and fulfillment of Information security audits

  • Maintain hardware and software inventories

  • Responsible of IT budget follow-up and improvement plans of IT systems at R&D Bielefeld

 

Key Qualifications/ Requirements

  • Experience in Windows and Active Directory administration, Linux would be
    desirable

  • Hands on experience with networking (WAN, WIFI and LAN)

  • Know-How with storage, virtualization (HYPER-V or VMWARE) and backup
    systems

  • Practice in supporting CAD/CAE softwares

 

Knowledge and Education

  • Fluent in German and English

  • Bachelor or apprenticeship in IT

  • Problem-solving, communication, organizational and teamworking skills

 

Work Experience

  • More than 3 years in a similar position with experience supporting the deployment and maintenance of IT infrastructures/systems and users

  • desirable: experience in an engineering environment
