SAP Specialist
Role Summary
Provide exceptional customer-focus to the administration of IT Business systems at GNA. This includes supporting the implementation of corporate and local business systems as well as the IT infrastructure required to support them. Use knowledge and expertise to conduct independent research and coordinate efforts to solve issues by identifying Internal/External resources.
Key Responsibilities
1. Responsible for facilitating a clear understanding of all business processes, goals and drivers to effectively support SAP/Captor and other corporate business systems, processes and training solutions.
2. Responsible for providing support for Gestamp SAP/Captor related issues. This includes addressing at a local level or escalating and following through to resolution.
3. Simulates or recreates end-user problems to resolve operational difficulties.
4. Interacts with other NA IT members to restore service and/or identify and resolve core problems.
5. Consult with end users to ensure that each problem is resolved to their satisfaction.
6. Use independent judgment to determine which issues need to be escalated to management, vendors, or suppliers.
7. Works with management to achieve team goals and initiatives.
8. Analyze master and transactional data to support the business. Identify data quality issues, report them to the business, and track corrections.
9. Modify computer systems or applications using knowledge, skills, and abilities and document the steps used to resolve a problem.
10. Identify gaps in business functionality, document and request functional enhancements.
11. Coordinate activities with plants and regional offices to implement existing or new business application functionality.
12. Act as a liaison between plant operations teams and corporate teams to support the implementation of Gestamp's SAP, Captor system.
13. As part of the IT group, establish, develop and grow all business relationships critical to the success of IT and Technical Support.
14. Support the company's mission, vision, values, and goals in the performance of daily activities.
15. Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the work area.
16. Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization
Key Qualifications/Requirements
• College/Professional degree in a computer/business related field
• 2+ years in manufacturing environments
• 2+ years supporting SAP (MM, SD) and associated EDI transactions (receiving, purchasing, shipping)
• 1+ years Help Desk/LAN support experience
• 1+ years managing projects.
