Long Description

Role Summary

Position is for an experienced machine tool electrician with PLC programming experience. Knowledge of Allen-Bradley, Siemens and Lab View controls & programming. Allen Bradley, HMI, Ethernet and other machine communication devices as well as ABB Robotics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain electrical controls for stamping presses, servo feeding equipment, assembly and machining centers, robotic welders and general building electrical maintenance.
  • Maintain current PLC & HMI programs. Responsible for product line change, efficiency and quality improvements.
  • Assist Maintenance Manager in directing skilled trade workforce.
  • Follow product launch utilizing Gestamp Machine Build Standards.
  • Performs additional related duties as requested.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Electrical and print reading.
  • Allen Bradley RS Logic 5, RS Logic 500, RS Link, Panel Builder 32.
  • Allen Bradley, Siemens & Lab View controls & programming preferred.
  • Knowledge of AC & DC drives
  • Robot programming, ABB, Fanuc primarily.

Knowledge and Education

  • Technical Training in Electrical Controls
  • Minimum 5 years of Automotive related experience
  • Allen Bradley Programming
  • Robotic Programming
  • CNC Programming
