Maintenance Technician

Long Description

ROLE SUMMARY

Performs maintenance functions to include stamping presses, coil feeding lines, resistance welding
Machines, assembly equipment, as well as building maintenance, HVAC, and compressed air systems.
In accordance with work instructions from maintenance manager in meeting departmental and plant
Requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for press and/ or other equipment repairs to include machining, welding, or electrical requirements.
  • Change, lubricate or grease shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of equipment in accordance with the preventative maintenance program.
  • Perform repairs of building and/ or property as required.
  • Maintain quality system requirements in area of responsibility.
  • Perform job duties in accordance with MIOSHA rules and regulations.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required to use basic tool room machines; i.e. lathe, surface grinders, drill press or other related hand or power tools.
  • Required to complete testing and obtain permit to operate forklift and aerial work platform to company safety requirements.
  • Perform additional related duties as requested by his/ her supervisor.
  • Assist other classifications in accordance with work and job duty requirements.
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary or appropriate.

KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D or 3 years previous field related experience.
  • Knowledge of compressed air and hydraulic systems
  • Knowledge of stamping press maintenance
  • Knowledge of robotic systems
  • Basic knowledge of building construction and maintenance
  • Basic knowledge of electricity

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years of Automotive related experience
