Long Description

Role Summary

Direct the hourly workforce and coordinate activities related to production and quality on the shop floor.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assign job duties to production associates as determined by seniority.
  • Assure the quality of parts by conferring with Quality department.
  • Communicate critical areas of processes with production associates.
  • Ensure that associates are properly trained on their job and understand the importance of monitoring for quality.
  • Properly isolate rejected material.

 

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Conduct zone communication meetings with production associates.
  • Conduct zone review meetings with management team.
  • Discuss maintenance requirements with maintenance department.
  • Assist with corrective action activities that apply to production.
  • Assure reliability of labor and personnel information by recording accurate information on required documents.

 

Knowledge and Education

  • Adhere to all Gestamp Policies & Procedures
  • Ensure safety of workforce by insisting required safety regulations are followed.
  • High School Diploma
  • 4 years minimum experience in production supervision
  • Metal Stamping and minor assembly.

 

Additional Information

  • Team oriented and an active participant in continuous improvement.
  • Good vision is required. 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle, manipulate, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, talk and hear.
  • Employee must occasionally lift or move objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Excellent Attendance is required.
