Assembly Maintenance Team Leader

SUMMARY
Working leader of a maintenance team; must be able to maintain, repair, and operate plant equipment to support production.  Support and train team personnel in all aspects of the job required to properly troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment in order to maximize safety, quality and efficiency.  Responsible for execution of short and long-range work plans.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Proactive in preventative and predictive maintenance.Lead personnel in all aspects of the job.  
Help develop a qualified maintenance team by effectively developing personnel through formal and on the job training.
Maintain situational awareness of plant activities pertaining to safety, quality and production.
Effectively follow up on open issues and communicating to Group Leader(s) and Managers, of any open issues not resolved during the assigned shift.
Cover production; perform equipment repairs, assigned work orders, and preventative maintenance, to maximize plant efficiency.  
Assist management in maintaining and improving all maintenance processes through continuous improvement; ensuring these processes are documented by the team, as required by company and departmental policies.
Leader of 5S principles.Perform other duties as directed by Management
Communicate any/all issues with equipment that needs to be addressed on weekend or other designated downtime of equipment. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience;
Previous experience in manufacturing desired

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must have strong knowledge of assembly equipment to include:  Fanuc Robots, Control Logix, Technifor Engravers, and Nordson Sealer systems.
Must have a thorough understanding of the assembly process.
Must have solid equipment troubleshooting skills.
Must have experience with Microsoft applications.
Must be able to weld, machine and fabricate utilizing CAD or hand drawings.
Ability to take detailed instructions and implement quality procedures
Must have excellent people, communication, and analytical skills. 
Must have the ability to work in a team based environment.
Previous leadership skills are a plus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle, manipulate, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, talk and hear
Employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time
The ability to listen to  and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so other will understand
