Maintenance Team Leader - McCalla, AL

JOB SUMMARY:

Assist the manager in completing all necessary jobs involving SAP, part ordering, and KPI’s. Also being able to assist the maintenance team when needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Assists the Manager in daily activities and work assignments of the team.
  2. Assists in the development of work instructions, training on processes.
  3. Completes all necessary steps in SAP (PM, Workorders, Service Calls.)
  4. Keeps up with weekend plans for press maintenance.
  5. Keeps up with KPI’s for Press Maintenance
  6. Order parts through Ariba and add stock to the MRO
  7. Assists overall employee/team development strategies through training and performance measurement.
  8. Other related activities as related to the scope of the position.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Perform other duties as directed by the Maintenance Manager and/or Group Leaders.
  2. Actively participate in and help to design and develop preventative maintenance programs.
  3. Assist Group Leaders in PM implementation and monthly completion.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  1. Leader of 5S principles
  2. Able to stay on task without having to be led.
  3. Thorough knowledge of the equipment of the press shop.
  4. Must have experience with PC-based systems including Microsoft applications.
  5. Willingness to work flexible shifts when needed.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Ability to take detailed instructions and implement safety and quality procedures.
  2. Must have excellent people and communication skills as well as analytical skills.
  3. Must have good attendance record with no disciplinary action or unauthorized absenteeism.
  4. Must have the ability to work in a team-based environment.
  5. Any previous leadership experience is a plus.
