JOB SUMMARY
Supervision of daily Department activities, including manpower allocation and scheduling of production. Assist Operations Manager in ensuring all targets related to Safety, Quality and Productivity are met or exceeded.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Previous Supervisory experience is desired.
- Robotic and Welding background would be desirable.
- Computer literate.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Daily Supervision of department personnel.
- Implementation and adherence to “World Class” Manufacturing Policies and Procedures
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Support in related areas of the environmental management system.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Engineering background desired and at least 5 years of experience within the Automotive Industry showing a steady career progression.
- A good understanding of “Lean Manufacturing” concepts.
- Ability to work under pressure with integrity and meet stringent timelines.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Health and Safety of all subordinates including any sub-contractor working in the area of responsibility.
- Supports the Operational Performance Metrics relating to Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery and helps ensure all targets are met or exceeded.
- Supports and contributes to the Annual Operating Plan regarding performance and cost expectations.
