JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the quality management systems and the coordination of all document control actions in support of the Quality Systems.

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS

 

Supplier management

  1. For new components, develop the supplier from systemic point of view, Risk analysis, System audits according Gestamp requirement and international standards (ATF 16949/VDA 6.3, others if apply)
  2. Periodical Systemic audits to be completed and managed with Corporate for shared suppliers.
  3. PPAP follow up according Gestamp requirements, validation, documentation requirement and closure.
  4. Manage Supplier claims , containments and Chargebacks creation considering Gestamp Suppliers Manual.
  5. Provide feedback to our plant on any issues or opportunities for improvement from the suppliers.
  6. Track the main quality indicators such as score cards from the suppliers, and provide action plans from risky suppliers to our plant.

Incoming Inspection Material and Components

  1. Ensure the Incoming inspection of the material completed at required schedule and address improvements with the team.
  2. Manage the Rejected material in QHLD from supplier to dispose the material in the required timing

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Four-year college degree, or equivalent experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  2. IATF Certification and VDA Certification preferred.
  3. Certified ISO/TS16949 Internal Auditor with a minimum of 3 years internal audit experience, preferred.
  4. Bi-lingual (Spanish or German) is a plus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  1. Working knowledge of the AIAG Core Tools (PPAP, SPC, APQP, FMEA, MSA);
  2. Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem solving skills;
  3. Computer literacy and basic skill with MS Office Software, i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, at a minimum.
  4. Formability knowledge is a plus.
  5. Knowledge of assembly process for automotive sheet metal assemblies with different type of welding technologies is a plus.
  6. Problem Solving, SPC and GD&T is a plus.
  7. SAP knowledge is a plus.

  1. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  2. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle, manipulate, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, talk and hear
  3. Employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
  4. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time
  5. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
  6. The ability to listen to  and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
  7. The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so other will understand
  8. The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted
