Long Description

Role Summary:

Responsible for negotiation and sourcing of Direct/Indirect goods and services to support plant operations. This position is also responsible for providing support in Purchasing sourcing systems to our multiple locations and working with the Purchasing leads at our corporate office to implement Commodity strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare RFQ packages and utilizes sourcing systems to conduct online bids for current spend of products and services to secure competitive market prices.
  • Executes service agreements, contracts, purchase agreements, letter contracts, and purchase orders with suppliers.
  • Study market prices and trends, engineering developments and manufacturing method improvement applicable to assigned responsibilities.
  • Secure and analyze quotations; negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, and recommends suppliers according to cost, quality, and delivery competitiveness for assign responsibilities.
  • Interviews and confers with current and prospective suppliers to determine supply capabilities, transportation logistics inventory control and management, and negotiates prices and delivery terms.

Knowledge and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field or 3 years experience in Purchasing/Manufacturing or Maintenance environment.
  • Ability to identify, implement, monitor, and report the key initiatives and the generated savings as listed in the productivity roadmap every month.
  • Sourcing experience in equipment RFQ development, service contracts and contract management.
  • System experience with SAP, Excel, Sourcing systems and approval workflows.

  • Strong negotiation, planning, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to support and drive projects to successful completion.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work well under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office.
