Process Engineer

Role Summary:

We are looking for a welding engineer to be responsible for managing welding projects and supervising the welding team. The responsibilities of a welding engineer include providing consulting services, coordinating multiple projects, and overseeing the welding procedure.

Key Responsibility:

  • Investigate welding related issues to improve product performance and increase productivity
  • Design welded parts, assemblies and structures such as buildings, pressure vessels, and pipelines
  • Develop repair procedures and assess flaws to determine the fitness-for-service of structures
  • Develop standards, materials, weld joint design, and welding processes
  • Develop welding process procedure qualification, supplier qualification, and product testing

Key Qualifications / Requirements

  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Highly motivated and self-directed
  • Analytical thinker and problem-solver
  • Excellent communication, writing, and computer skills
  • Ability to create, design, and analyze blueprints and drawings

Knowledge and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in welding engineering, welding engineering technology, or similar, AWS Certified Welding Inspector, AWS Certified Welding Engineer preferred.
  • Solid leadership skills
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Computer literate.

Work Experience:

  • Mig weld experience working with VW, BMW highly preferred.
  • Work experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment. Automotive industry preferred.
