Bilingual Training Assistant - Chattanooga, TN / Plant 1

Role Summary 

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bilingual Training Assistant to join our Chattanooga I team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish and will assist in the development, coordination, and delivery of training programs for our diverse workforce. This role is crucial in ensuring that all employees receive the necessary training to perform their jobs safely and efficiently.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, organization, and delivery of training sessions for employees at all levels.
  • Act as a translator/interpreter during training sessions, meetings, and written communications to ensure effective understanding across all employees.
  • Maintain and update training materials, manuals, and documentation in multiple languages.
  • Support onboarding programs to help new employees integrate into the company effectively. 
  • Conducting, documenting, and and analyzing new hire onboarding surveys at regular intervals (7, 30, 60, 90 days).
  • Track and report training attendance, progress, and outcomes using training management systems.
  • Coordinate schedules and logistics for training sessions, including booking venues, preparing materials, and arranging equipment.
  • Provide one-on-one or group coaching to employees to address training needs.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to identify training gaps and suggest appropriate programs.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Ensure implemenation of and compliace to on-the-job training program 
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, as needed, to support all shifts and departments

 

Knowledge and Education 

  • 1 year of experience in training, education, or employee development, preferably in manufacturing or automotive settings.
  • 2-year college degree or equivalent work experience.  

 

Key Qualifications/Requirements 

  • Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken. 
  • Demonstration of English and Spanish speaking through simulated presentation
  • Previous experience in training, human resources, or a related field is preferred.
  • Must be comfortable with public speaking. 
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software. Demonstration of proficiency will be required through simulation.
  • Familiarity with the automotive manufacturing industry is a plus.
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time
