GP12 Sort 1st Shift - Chattanooga, TN / Plant 1
Role Summary
Primarily responsible for sorting suspect, hold, GP-12 parts, and performing rework as directed by respective Quality Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing sort, rework of suspect parts as needed on a daily basis.
- Must be flexible working off shifts but primarily assigned to day shift.
- Monitor and maintain the quality level of product.
- Use various tools, fixtures, measurement devices to analyze functionality of product.
- Recognize and properly disposition defective product.
- Document and complete required checks utilizing electronic or hard copy means to record product status.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis and Permanent Corrective Action when required.
- Represent company in front of customer.
- Participation and cooperation in answering questions and providing information for internal and external audits regarding or related to ISO 9001/IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, and customer standards.
- Assist in developing sort standards driving efficiency.
- Work in production if necessary.
- Perform various other jobs as deemed necessary and appropriate.
Knowledge and Education
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience in Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Key Qualification/Requirements
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must follow instructions and processes.
- Strong sense of urgency.
- Must be a self-starter.
- Must possess great attention to detail.
- Must be forklift certified or willing/capable of being certified.
- Computer skills or willing/capable of being trained.
- Must be able to use small tools and gauging instruments.
- Willing to learn SAP and use efficiently.
