Role Summary
Cold Press Engineer is responsible for designing, operating, maintaining, and optimizing cold press machinery, auxiliary equipment and systems, such as manufacturing. The engineer works closely with production teams to improve processes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure product quality. Work across the organization to foster continuous improvement for long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, document, develop and deliver procedures to ensure the equipment meets all targets relating to Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
- Act as the owner and technical leader/expert of the process, tasked with monitoring and maintaining all systems in the process. These include (but are not limited to):
- Develop, improve, and carry out preventive maintenance on the die pro systems for all references in the press shop. According to the PM´s working instructions and respecting the tasks scheduled by week.
- Develop, improve, and carry out preventive maintenance on the gripper systems for all references in the press shop. According to the PM´s working instructions and respecting the tasks scheduled by week.
- Develop, improve, and carry out preventive maintenance on the suction cups systems for all references in the press shop. According to the PM´s working instructions and respecting the tasks scheduled by week.
- Monitor production metrics and implement improvements to maximize efficiency, reduce downtime and increase cycle time per reference
- Monitor Industry 4.0 alarms, parameters.Train press techs / team leaders and supervisors.
- Problem solving
- Supports operational metrics and meets operational needs
- Lead Industrialization of new projects and engineering changes, setting up the process parameters in the presses, preparing standard recipes, preparing drawings for new pin pallets and prepare a plan for the optimizations of the SPM´s.
- Monitor production recipes, keep them updated, standardize, and create work instructions when necessary.

Knowledge and Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic / Mechanical Engineering / Technical degree or equivalent -or- 5+ years’ experience and training in a similar role and environment.
- Can demonstrate work experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment. Automotive industry experience preferred.
