Quality Analyst 3rd Shift - Chattanooga, TN / Plant 1
Role Summary
The primary function of this position will be to monitor, maintain and audit the quality systems process on the production floor. This position will be responsible for implementing containments, problem solving and corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities
- Control of Non-conforming Product & Defect Parts (scrap approval).
- Removing scrap from SAP
- Support with all engineering changes.
- Control of all quality system documents and company policies.
- Controlling / validating Process Intervention parts
- Updating Quality KPI database and KPI DST boards
- Investigating rework / scrap trends, root cause analysis & corrective actions
- Investigating firewall trends, root cause analysis & corrective actions
- Presenting quality KPI’s at DST and SST
- Participation in the Layered Process Audit schedule.
- Conducting control plan and containment audits
- Raising Customer & internal Quality Alerts (PRR's) - including containment
- Supporting with 8D investigations (Customer & Internal)
- Completing 30 / 3 / 12-month PCA audits
- Prepare shift handover report
- Participation in the Internal IATF 16949 Audit schedule (applies only to certified ISO/TS 16949 internal auditors).
- Participation and cooperation in answering questions and providing information for internal and external audits regarding or related to IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, and customer standards.
- Assist in various other administration related activities such as interaction and maintenance of customer/supplier websites.
- Assist and cover any absences of the quality technician’s role
- Assist in quality stops on the production floor
Knowledge and Education
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years’ experience in quality or manufacturing
Key Qualifications/Requirements
- General knowledge of quality tools and techniques used in manufacturing.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Computer literacy and basic skills with MS Office Software, i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, at a minimum.
