Role Summary
Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the quality operating systems and the coordination of all products, process capability, control, PDCA and document control actions supporting the Quality Systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand, Plan, Interact and build strong business relationship with customer engineering and SQE representatives to define/clarify requirements and expectations on product and services.
- Customer performance: Monitor customer scorecard. Participation on 8D responsible Root cause Analysis. Follow up meeting coordination /Support. Monitor if production is following procedures and drive compliance actions.
- Follow up on all open problem sheets (External and Internal complaints) and drive actions on open items list.
- Responsible for Quality End of shift notes and KPI’s. & Quality End of shift notes.
- Responsible for Shop Floor Product Release, Reaction Plan, Escalation process and non-conforming procedure enforcement on production floor. Daily process audit champion.
- Communicate all quality concerns to plant associates.
- Lead or participate in 3 path, 5why root cause analysis and corrective actions with a cross functional team to reduce / eliminate internal and customer PPM’s.
- Coordinate correction Cards creation and follow up for assigned parts. Review recurrent Issues. Inform new issues. Maintain correction card logbook.
- Internal GP12 (safe launch containment) Champion & Key holder of Q-hold area.
- Assist in the development of dimensional control strategies.
- Assist in the design and procurement of gages and instruments. Complete home line fixture buyoffs.
- Capable of working on cross-functional activities and processes with different engineering departments.
Knowledge and Education
- Four-year college degree or equivalent experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Working with automotive OEM; VW preferred
- Working knowledge of stamping process – press, dies, metal forming, dimensional, metallurgical, gaging.
- Working knowledge of LMI, ProControl, ProGage, and Datamyte software.
- Working knowledge of Rockwell tester, calipers, and micrometers.
