Assembly Team Lead - 2nd Shift - Mason, MI

JOB SUMMARY
Working Leader of a team in support of all manufacturing processes. Leads day to day activities surrounding manning of assets and sustainability of performance and availability.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
•Proficiently perform standardized work and all job-related functions for operations in their area.
•Conducting training of team members to maximize their potential.
•Aware of all safety key points related to each job in the work area and takes action as necessary to maintain health and safety of others. 
•Upholds the vision and values of Gestamp.
•Assists operators in TPM implementation and accountable for compliance, leading by example.
•Accountable for Team execution of 5S standards.
•Promotes teamwork to ensure safe and effective execution of production plans.
•Monitors the production environment and identifies abnormal and out-of-standard conditions.
•Timely and effective execution of action items including escalation of concerns to higher levels of management when appropriate.
•Accountable for data entry into and accuracy of production reporting systems (CAPTOR, SAP, log books, etc.).
•Reinforces the containment and control of non-conforming product using standard processes.
•Provides input to Operations Group Leader for Team Members evaluation.
•Performs Team Member duties in their absence.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
•High School Diploma/GED required.
•Minimum 2 years manufacturing experience required.
•Experience with Standard Work Systems.
•Computer experience.


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
•Able to resolve personnel and process issues. 
•Able to understand and report KPIs at DMS meetings. 
•Leads by example and demonstrates respect to others with a positive and supportive attitude.
•Demonstrates the knowledge of Standard Work for all processes in their area.
•Effective communication skills including written, verbal and listening.
