JOB SUMMARY
The Press Shop Maintenance Manager works within a team consisting of Engineering, Manufacturing & Maintenance. The Press Shop Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading the daily activities of the Press Shop Maintenance Team, overseeing the continuous improvement of the press shop equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directly supervise employees in the Press Maintenance Department.
- Carry out leadership responsibilities following the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Determines the Preventive Maintenance Schedule.
- Organizes the PM workforce to maximize the utilization of Labor.
- Development of skill level requirements and training activities for advancing skill level improvements.
- Works with outside contractors on project work.
- Ensures compliance with Quality, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
- Assigns or assists in performing emergency downtime repairs.
- Know and enforce health, safety, and environmental rules
- Seek to reduce safety risks, with support from the safety team
- Know bypass safety systems and devices
- Assure all safety devices are properly in place and utilized, Lockout/Tagout procedures are adhered to, PPE is worn correctly at all times, and reporting of any near-misses, injuries, or accidents occurs immediately.
- Keep the work area clean and orderly to prevent safety hazards.
- Assure adherence to quality policies and procedures, including acceptable work standards, customer specifications, and IPI requirements, to also include participation in the creation and support of systems, documentation, and actions to ensure continued conformance to Quality (IATF) and Environmental (ISO) management systems.
- Observe and follow company policies and maintain proper standards of conduct at all times.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical engineering preferred.
2. At least 10 years of Maintenance experience required, automotive industry preferred.
3. Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the Maintenance field required.
