Maintenance Manager
JOB SUMMARY
Manage all aspects of maintenance on production equipment and facilities. Drive uptime improvement efforts by implementing a preventive maintenance program and coordinating all corrective maintenance activities. Ensure that proper staffing, training, tools, and maintenance plans are in place to maximize equipment availability in the most cost-efficient manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for leadership and supervision of all members of the maintenance.
2. Responsible for ensuring safe work practices are always being utilized by the members of the maintenance department.
3. Ensure proper staffing.
4. Responsible for the maintenance annual budget.
5. Responsible for maximizing machine uptime on all production equipment.
6. Work closely with production management to schedule maintenance activities based on equipment, manpower, and spare parts availability.
7. Review all completed work orders and ensure items requiring follow up are acted upon appropriately and assist in tracking these actions required to completion.
8. Use a data driven approach to continuous improvement.
9. Assist in locating and purchasing materials required to complete maintenance activities.
10. Ensure that an appropriate inventory of spare parts is maintained.
11. Implement a proactive approach to maintenance including predictive maintenance activities such as infrared, vibration, and oil analysis.
12. Utilize the CMMS system for logging all maintenance activities and driving lessons learned.
13. Ensure all technical materials and training are available as required to support the maintenance technicians.
14. Assist with 8D and problem resolution for qualities issues related to equipment performance.
15. Participation in the Layered Process Audit schedule.
16. Participation in the Internal ISO 9001/IATF 16949 Audit schedule (applies only to certified ISO 9001/IATF 16949 internal auditors).
17. Participation and cooperation in answering questions and providing information for internal and external audits regarding or related to ISO 9001/IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, and customer standards.
18. Any task deemed necessary by management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1. A four-year college degree in Engineering or similar is preferred.
2. 8-10 years industrial maintenance experience in automotive industry
3. Hot stamping, sheet metal, robotic welding, material handling, laser cutting and shot blasting experience.
4. Experience with CMMS programs – preferably SAP PM.

1. Comprehensive knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components
2. Strong Leadership skills
3. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
4. Microsoft Office skills to include Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
