JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing basic maintenance duties related to the install, troubleshoot and repair of assets. The tech will maintain production equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes. All team members will support the Maintenance departments business goals and objectives.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
•Perform lock out tag out in accordance with safety policies and procedures.
•Use of voltage meters, reading electrical schematics and measuring tools.
•Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
•Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
•Perform scheduled preventative maintenance of production equipment during scheduled downtime.
•Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
•Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
•Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
•Assure all safety devices are properly in place and utilized, Lockout/Tagout procedures are adhered to, PPE is worn correctly at all times, and reporting of any near-misses, injuries, or accidents occurs immediately.
•Keep work area clean and orderly to prevent safety hazards.
•Assure adherence to quality policies and procedures including acceptable work standards, customer specifications and IPI requirements, to also include participation in the creation and support of systems, documentation and actions to ensure continued conformance to Quality (IATF) and Environmental (ISO) management systems.
•Observe and follow company policies and maintain proper standards of conduct at all times.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
•At least 1 year of manufacturing experience required.
•Experience in automotive industry with emphasis on automation related equipment preferred.
•At least 1 year of education related to skilled trades preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
•Fundamental capacity to interpret mechanical, electric and pneumatic systems.
•Fundamental troubleshooting skills.
•Working knowledge of Captor, SAP or related ERP system.
•Strong communication skills including written, verbal and listening.
•Able to read, write and speak in English.
PHSYCIAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
•Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
•Must be able to remain in standing position 80% of the time.
•Occasional extended periods of bending and/or kneeling.
•Occasional climbing up ladders.
•Frequent use of hands to handle, manipulate or feel objects, tools or controls.
•Frequent reaching with hands and arms.
•Frequent lifting and/or moving parts up to 50 pounds.
•Exposed to temperature and humidity variations throughout the seasons of the year.
•Work performed in an environment where noise levels exceed 85 decibels and hearing protection is required.
•Able to listen to and communicate information clearly and concisely.
