Long Description
• Assists team in establishing safe and effective procedures for specific repairs.
• Fosters and supports cost reduction activities as directed.
• Performs and/or participates in facilities related projects as directed or as required.
• Recommends and/or participates in facility related repairs.
• Facilitates completion of work orders as required.
• Notifies Manager when major repairs are required.
• Responds to emergency calls in the facility relating to production deliverables.
• Work with outside contractors on scheduled projects/repairs.
• Assure all safety devices are properly in place and utilized, Lockout/Tagout procedures are adhered to, PPE is worn correctly at all times, and reporting of any near-misses, injuries, or accidents occurs immediately.
• Keep work area clean and orderly to prevent safety hazards.
• Assure adherence to quality policies and procedures including acceptable work standards, customer specifications and IPI requirements, to also include participation in the creation and support of systems, documentation and actions to ensure continued conformance to Quality (IATF) and Environmental (ISO) management systems.
• Observe and follow company policies and maintain proper standards of conduct at all times.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Fundamental capacity to interpret mechanical, electric and pneumatic systems.
• Fundamental troubleshooting skills.
• Working knowledge of Captor, SAP or related ERP system preferred.
• Strong communication skills including written, verbal and listening.
• Able to read, write and speak in English.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to remain in standing position 80% of the time.
• Occasional extended periods of bending and/or kneeling.
• Frequently climb ladders.
• Frequently use hands to handle, manipulate or feel objects, tools or controls.
• Frequently reaches with hands and arms.
• Frequently lifts and/or moves parts up to 50 pounds.
• Exposed to temperature and humidity variations through the seasons of the year.
• Work performed in an environment where noise levels exceed 85 decibels and hearing protection is required.
• Able to listen to and communicate information clearly and concisely.
