DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Executes standardized work during all production periods.
• Accountable for learning to use tools, fixtures, measurement devices, etc. to analyze and assess functionality and quality of products.
• Use pneumatic tools to perform a part destruct.
• Use calipers to measure welds.
• Record all data found digitally in Excel.
• Reports the need for any repairs that requires assistance from the Maintenance Department.
• Documents data obtained during quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures.
• Communicates identified failures during Quality activities.
• Assure all safety devices are properly in place and utilized, Lockout/Tagout procedures are adhered to, PPE is worn correctly at all times, and reporting of any near-misses, injuries, or accidents occurs immediately.
• Keep work area clean and orderly to prevent safety hazards.
• Assure adherence to quality policies and procedures including acceptable work standards, customer specifications and IPI requirements, to also include participation in the creation and support of systems, documentation and actions to ensure continued conformance to Quality (IATF) and Environmental (ISO) management systems.
• Observe and follow company policies and maintain proper standards of conduct at all times.
• All other duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Organization’s Values.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• At least 1 year experience working teardown in manufacturing/automotive industry required.
• Certification in Ultrasonic Weld Testing required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office.
• Detail oriented, problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to compare work against standards of quality provided and distinguish between acceptable and unacceptable tolerances.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to remain in standing position 80% of the time.
• Occasional extended periods of bending and/or kneeling.
• Frequently use hands to handle, manipulate or feel objects, tools or controls.
• Frequently reaches with hands and arms.
• Frequently lifts and/or moves parts up to 50 pounds.
• Exposed to temperature and humidity variations through the seasons of the year.
• Work performed in an environment where noise levels exceed 85 decibels and hearing protection is required.
• Able to listen to and communicate information clearly and concisely.
