JOB SUMMARY
The Program Manager functions as the Champion of each program and be the primary contact person for the customer, engineers, plant management, account managers, and all plant departments. During program stages from quotation until program end life. Manage financials and timing to deliver each program, on budget, on time, and meets or exceeds customer quality expectations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review RFQ/Source packages and EC requests from customer.
- Coordinate and manage kick off meetings with Gestamp Mason team.
- Establish program timing and provide direction to the program team.
- Manage program financials and Business Case during program life to deliver program according to budget.
- Manage program and conduct all phases and gate reviews with Team Center PLM module.
- Follow Tooling and Equipment development with the engineering team.
- Manage Activities on Engineering changes including, Creation, Quotation, Negotiation with Customer & suppliers, implementation and Documentation.
- Assure all safety devices are properly in place and utilized, Lockout/Tagout procedures are adhered to, PPE is worn correctly at all times and reporting of any near-misses, injuries, or accidents occur immediately.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 4 years of Automotive related experience in Stamping and/or Assembly processes preferred.
- At least 3 years' experience with managing OEM and/or Tier 1 accounts (Preferred experience with FCA)
- At least 3 years' experience with automotive customer directed APQP activities preferred.
- Experience with managing financial KPIs is preferred.
- Experience on Team Center PLM, PJM, CAD and TCM Modules preferred.
- Experience with managing financial KPIs and general understanding of Program financials.
- Must be able to read drawings
- Working knowledge of CAD and GD&T.
- Work performed in an environment where noise levels exceed 85 decibels and hearing protection is required.
- Able to listen to and communicate information clearly and concisely both in person and over the phone.
