PAYROLL MANAGER

Our Payroll Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing North American Payroll. This position manages the operational activities related to the generation and distribution of payroll in a centralized payroll operation. Resolves all payroll-related issues. Works closely and collaborates with Human Resources, Finance, and Accounting here in North America and in our corporate office in Spain. Will be expected to act as the SAP Payroll subject matter eventually.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for all timely and accurate payroll processing and distribution for all Gestamp/Edscha/Autotech facilities in the US;
In charge of all timely and accurate data entry of the Gestamp Payroll application (SAP)
Responsible for monthly tracking of medical, life, dental, etc. insurance costs of all Gestamp, Edscha, and Autotech facilities in the US;
Responsible for all IRS and state payroll tax reporting (940, 941, SUTA, W2, W3), and deposits;
In charge of facilitating the annual audit of the Gestamp 401k program;
In charge of facilitating the annual audit of Gestamp Workers' Compensation audit;
Assist the Human Resource Department annual filing of IRS form 5500;
Assist the Human Resources department in establishing and maintaining policies and procedures for employee recruitment, benefits, and relations;
Expertise in both Federal and state employment law, tax, and compliance;
Expertise in taxable employee benefits, (e.g. life insurance, relocation);
Assist in travel/travel expense report application (Cliqbooks/Concur)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related discipline.
Experienced payroll management and operations experience in a multi-plant environment.
Expertise/Willingness to become an expert with the SAP Payroll module.
Microsoft Office proficiency and advanced MS Excel experience are mandatory.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Understanding of IRS, tax, employment, and labor laws.
Experience in payroll administration in a multi-plant environment.
Ability to interface with all levels.
Excellent problem-solving and analysis skills.
Experience in tax filings for benefits and payroll tax.
May be required to work extended hours on occasion.
