Virtual Plant & Simulation Manager

JOB SUMMARY
The candidate will have the unique opportunity to simulate, design, stabilize, improve, and transform production systems and processes to achieve world-class operational excellence for some of the world’s most sophisticated automotive systems developing on-demand simulations and Virtual Twin Plants (Industry 4.0). Our Simulations Manager will focus on production stability, implementing lean methodologies, assessing, and performing rate readiness requirements, flows and warehouse optimizations, and improving manning through software simulations analysis. Candidates will be engaging with all manufacturing, engineering, material, and production-supporting organizations and should be a self-starter as well as a collaborative team player.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and development of a continuous manufacturing process along with the layout and equipment for the factory.
Setting specifications, developing, implementing, and monitoring equipment as part of the manufacturing system.
Design and simulation of new factory flows, layouts, warehouses, equipment, and asset optimizations.
Analyze and optimize equipment and processes already in place to improve t-put or install automated equipment (AGVs).
Use of simulation software in the development of new processes and optimizations.
Documentation must be completed to show and ensure compliance with both internal and external needs.
Oversight of processes to maintain optimization of the continuous manufacturing process through simulations.
Monitoring of equipment – including regular review and ensuring through KPI that the standards are fulfilled.
Assisting Process Technicians in troubleshooting in the event of a problem implementing simulations.
Data collection, interpretation, and report writing.
Risk assessments of the equipment and processes being or to be used.
Continual evaluation of equipment and processes to ensure both efficiencies remain high.
Budget and New Program responsibilities.
Work with MP&L and Engineering Leaders to develop a strategic roadmap to mature the Simulations and Maning Planning process and drive adherence to it.
Ability to work in a fast-paced high-pressure environment where change is constant and needs to be managed with internal and external customers.
Participates in the analysis of current and future business environment using established guidelines for simulations. 
Contributes to the forecast, acquisition, and utilization plans to optimize resources in support of company initiatives and program business plans.
Assists in the development and maintenance of Business System factory definition to be used for manufacturing planning.
Participates in the development of labor hour estimates for new or revised production and tooling work packages under the guidance of experienced analysts.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Industrial engineering or related field preferred.
5+ years’ experience in supply chain, material, production, and process definition.
experience in MTM analysis.
Lean Manufacturing methodologies (Pull system, JIT, SMED, Standardized Work etc.) a plus 
Experience with Tecnomatix Plant Simulation, or similar, is a plus.
ERP and MRP experience required; SAP experience required.
Experience working with automotive stamping and welding components and paint manufacturing environment  preferred.
Experience working with automotive suppliers 
Familiarity with automotive standards i.e. AIAG, VDA, MMOG/LE, Odette a plus
