Logistics Engineer
JOB SUMMARY
Accountable for all MP&L-related responsibilities supporting new program/projects. Coordinates, tracks, and reports project status utilizing existing Gestamp Program Management tools (GPCS/Teamcenter/Ariba/other). Supports Program Manager(s) on special projects as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Mainly accountable for GPCS/Ariba to coordinate/monitor new product launches.
2. Utilize Teamcenter for project tracking of PCP task completion, customer milestones, and internal KPI compliance.
3. Support internal team for project-specific master data.
4. Schedule & host meetings with Program Management teams to review the status of MP&L topics/open issues.
5. RFQ development/Purchasing & Program Manager interface.
6. Create PRs/GRs/VIM invoices in Ariba.
7. Reporting: Purchasing finance program status.
8. Ordering, reporting & logistics coordination of launch trial material to tool shops and to GSC.
9. Material cards (Logistics portion)
10. Create and maintain packaging instructions for all programs.
11. PFEP (Plan for Every Part) / Pack BOM for all programs
12. Container/rack management
13. Oversee WIP container design, approvals & purchase.
14. WIP Rack reuse planning
15. Blank Pallet management & purchase
16. Create & report on delivery timing and budget status.
17. Launch Warehouse set-up & management (EC / FIFO)
18. General Material flow and lineside presentation for series production
19. Coordinating all freight requirements for material/equipment as needed.
20. Tracking all freight topics to ensure on-time delivery.
21. Coordinate with purchasing for all trial material purchases & tracking.
22. Optimize material flow, organize, and minimize warehouse footprint.
23. SAP Supplier set-up and BOM support including BOM upkeep & material masters.
24. Plant layout planning support.
25. Support Program Managers with needed data & detail for customer project status reporting.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1. Bachelor's degree (or bachelor's equivalency), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. 3-5 years of Automotive-related experience in Program Launch, MP&L lead.
3. Experience with creating and managing PFEP and product launch timelines.
4. Experience on Team Center PLM, PJM, CAD, and TCM Modules preferred.
5. Computer Skills with familiarity with Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Complex Excel Spreadsheets
