Quality Systems Engineer

Gestamp is seeking an experienced Quality Systems Engineer to lead and maintain our Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with IATF standards, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations. This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to work closely with customers, suppliers, auditors, and leadership while driving continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) and Operations Manual.
Lead and coordinate internal, customer, and third-party audits.
Analyze audit findings, customer complaints, surveys, and other quality data to drive corrective and preventive actions.
Promote customer requirements and quality awareness across all departments.
Develop and deliver QMS and quality system training programs.
Support non-conforming product disposition activities.
Assist with new certification initiatives and supplier quality programs.
Build strong customer relationships and address quality system concerns.
Support product development activities and assess impacts on the QMS.
Evaluate regulatory compliance within the organization and supplier base.
Prepare materials and participate in Management Review meetings.
Recommend system improvements and training opportunities to enhance performance.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related field; OR Associate degree with quality systems experience.
Experience in manufacturing and quality systems management.
Candidates must possess:
IATF 16949 Certified Lead Auditor
VDA 6.3 Certified Auditor
VDA 6.5 Certified Auditor
Skills & Experience
Strong knowledge of quality systems and manufacturing processes.
Experience with CAPA systems and supplier quality management.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and root cause analysis skills.
Strong Excel and technical report-writing capabilities.
Proven ability to lead change and drive continuous improvement.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and process discipline.
