Role Summary
The Cultural Assignment Coordinator (CAC) is responsible for the coordination of programs and services for
international and domestic assignees embarking on a new assignment or transfer, or assignees that are currently on
an assignment. The CAC will manage the end-to-end lifecycle for all types of mobility services, including short and
long-term assignments, as well as permanent transfers. The CAC is also accountable for the cross-cultural agility
within the plant. The CAC is Gestamp’s cultural ambassador; as such, they are passionate about people, diversity and
inclusion and multicultural integration.
Key Responsibilities
1. Scheduling and coordinating of services for international and domestic assignees, as well as permanent
transfers.
2. Coordinating services for business travelers, including but not limited to, development of invitation letters,
setting up temporary accommodations and travel arrangements, etc.
3. Manage the day-to-day administration of services/programs.
4. Providing support for the full cycle of relocation assignments for both Relocation and Cross-cultural programs.
5. Conduct policy orientation calls, counsel the assignee on the applicable Mobility policy.
6. Proactively connect with assignee prior to assignment, while on assignment, and when returning from
assignment.
7. Build relationship with international and domestic assignees to provide the highest possible service.
8. Proactively manage all service partners used as part of the relocation process (e.g., visa and immigration, home
search and settling in, cultural training, language training, temporary living, etc.).
9. Act as primary point of contact for international and domestic assignees requests.
10. Act as a liaison between employees, external vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth
assignment process.
11. Generate reports and analytics to measure the success of the mobility program and identify areas for
improvement.
12. Fosters knowledge and adoption of diversity, equity, and inclusion topics and best practices.
13. Provides international and domestic assignees with information, strategies, insights, ideas, and perspectives
through personal experience of the local culture.
14. Supports management team with cross-cultural agility best practices, awareness, and appreciation to ensure
management interacts with people across different cultures effectively.
15. Works with plant team (hiring managers and departmental colleagues) to build a culture of understanding for
the assignee.
16. Prepares and develops the assignees onboarding and cultural inclusion agenda.
17. All other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (required); Master’s degree (welcomed).
2. Minimum 3 years of professional relocation/intercultural training experience (preferred).
3. Minimum 3 years of customer service/customer facing experience.
4. Minimum 3 years of vendor management experience.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
1. Excellent interpersonal, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
2. Outstanding communication, above average writing skills and proficiency in the English Language required.
3. Complete understanding of the relocation and assignment processes.
4. Ability to multi-task in a high-pressure and face-paced environment.
5. Strong attention to detail.
6. Foreign language fluency in Spanish is preferred.
