HR Business Partner - West Virginia

The HR Business Partner is responsible for the daily functions of the Human Resource Department, including recruitment, payroll, onboarding, benefits, leave, and administration of company policies and practices.


Duties and Responsibilities: 
1.    Administers payroll processing and handles any pay related topics.
2.    Assist in administering benefits, compensations, and employee performance programs.
3.    Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve efficiency of the HR department and organization as a whole and to improve the employee experience.  
4.    Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.  
5.    Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations.
6.    Participate in development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics and standard reports for ongoing company requirements.  
7.    Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
8.    Assist in developing and implementing employee recognition programing. 
9.    Prepare paperwork, schedule, and facilitate new hire onboarding process.
10.  Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
11.    Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.  
12.    Performs any other duties as deemed necessary or appropriate.


Education and Experience: 
1.    Bachelor’s degree Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent job experience; or
2.    3-5 years of experience in the HR field. 
3.    Manufacturing experience preferred.
4.    Any similar combination of education and experience.
