PRODUCTION SCHEDULER

Production Scheduler

If you are an aspiring or entry-level engineer or a data-driven problem solver looking to make an immediate impact within a global leader in automotive technology, this might be the job for you!

The Production Scheduler role is a vital function that bridges technology, data analysis, and hands-on manufacturing. You will utilize cutting-edge SAP MRP tools to architect short- to medium-term production schedules, ensuring seamless material flow and optimal inventory levels. This position is an ideal entry point for individuals interested in utilizing their analytical skills to address complex logistical challenges in an engineering-driven environment. You will collaborate cross-functionally to drive efficiency, resolve real-time operational conflicts, and support continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, JIT, lean manufacturing).

Key Responsibilities

System Optimization & Planning: Develop and maintain sophisticated production schedules using SAP, balancing customer demand, capacity constraints, and inventory targets. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of critical SAP Material Master Data (MRP settings, lot sizes, safety stock) to drive system reliability.

Data Analysis & Problem Solving: Run and rigorously analyze MRP outputs to preemptively identify material availability issues and ensure timely customer order fulfillment. Generate and manage Past Due Reports, adjusting production orders based on data-driven insights.

Operational Execution & Lean Culture: Monitor Work-in-Progress (WIP) and Finished Goods (FG) inventory daily, adjusting plans in real-time to meet fluctuating demand. Support lean manufacturing and JIT initiatives by optimizing material flow and minimizing waste.

Cross-Functional Engineering Support: Participate in new product launch and engineering change meetings, aligning scheduling strategies with complex project timelines. Conduct periodic capacity analyses and communicate potential disruptions, applying analytical thinking to overcome technical or quality issues.

Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to Gestamp’s rigorous safety standards and OSHA requirements.
